We are a registered non-profit, The Druid’s Cauldron Inc. 501(c)(3) The Druid’s Cauldron is an independent journal established in 2016, dedicated to the preservation and exploration of the druids, culture, native wisdom, and the living traditions of the isles. We exist to recover folklore, herbalism, spiritual philosophy, and ecological knowledge embedded in the roots of the early Irish Gaelic and broader Celtic world.

Through deep research into traditional folklore, herbalism and mythology as well as personal artistic endeavors, we seek to cultivate a deeper relationship with the land, the seasons, and to one another. We are committed to serious inquiry and evidence-based information, or it is alluded that it’s personal philosophy and labeled as such. The Druid’s Cauldron is a space for the curious, the contemplative, and those who feel called to remember older ways of being in right relationship with the land and each other.

Isla Skye

Isla Skye is an American Celtic scholar, a mother of 3, elementary teacher for 21 years as well as an author and herbalist that splits her time between the States and Ireland. She has studied the druids and related practices for over 20 years. She is a published author of children’s books as well as other folkloric literature and is currently working through an M.A. in Celtic Studies. Her hobbies are family time, camping, hiking, reading, writing and research.

Nimue Brown

Nimue Brown is an author, dreamer, folk enthusiast and parent. She has her own blog as well as patreon. Exploring life as a Pagan, seeking good and meaningful ways to be, struggling with mental health issues and worried about many things. She has published many renowned books on Druidry including ‘Druidry and the Ancestors: Finding our place in our own history‘ and ‘Druidry and Meditation.’ Read more about her here.

Searles O'Dubhain

Searles O’Dubhain is an American Celtic scholar, writer and story teller who has been practicing Druidry for over 30 years. Searles created ‘The Summerlands’, one of the very first beloved online Celtic pagan communities in the early 90’s. He additionally published ‘Ogham Divination’, that lays a detailed and creative pathway of recreating and discovering the ancient ways of the Druids. This and much more available on his website.

David Halpin

David Halpin is a writer from Tallaght, now living on the Carlow/ Wicklow border. He has been writing about Irish Forteana and spirituality for over thirty years and has had his articles published in magazines and books throughout the world. David’s photographs of Ireland’s sacred sites have been published in journals and articles worldwide and in 2020 were included in An Taisce’s annual report on the Irish landscape. David is also a reviewer of esoteric writing and as well as publishing for The Occult Book Review, he also contributes regularly to newspapers, magazines and online publications. His articles have appeared in The Wild Hunt, New Dawn Magazine, Coire Ansic, and he is a regular contributor to Ancient Origins. David also runs the blog, Circle Stories, where he focuses his writing upon the topics of consciousness and folklore.

Mawie Barrett

Mawie Barrett is a Druid who grew up in the Comeragh Mountains in Co Waterford, Ireland. She defines herself as a mountain woman. She believes that there is a language in landscape that seeps into her by osmosis and fires her imagination. Her work is sprinkled with metaphor; the ordinary everyday event trickles out of her subconscious and tells the deeper story. Her forte thusfar is history, which she expresses in fiction and nonfiction. Writing brings Mawie great joy and expression, it is the place where she channels her insights and reflections. Sharon Paice MacLeod

Sharon Paice MacLeod is a Celticist, author and musician. She is an Old Irish translator at Stanford University and has published several renowned books on Celtic religion including ‘Celtic Myth and Religion: A Study of Traditional Belief‘ as well as ‘Celtic Cosmology and the Otherworld: Mythic Origins, Sovereignty and Liminality’. Ciarán Ó Murthuile

Ciarán holds a Master’s degree in History and brings that depth of knowledge to everything they do, whether leading a tour through a storied landscape, composing a photograph, building a film, or putting words on a page. As a tour guide they are known for the kind of storytelling that makes history feel immediate and alive, drawing on years of scholarly training to give people not just facts but a genuine sense of the past beneath their feet. Their photography and videography work is rooted in the same instinct, a close attention to the landscape, light, and the human presence within that. Their podcast and writing moves between historical narrative, cultural essay, and creative nonfiction.

Tricia O’Connor

My name is Tricia O Connor! I’m an Artist from Co.Kerry in Ireland. I run an Art + Meditation school for children and adults called Hummingbird Studio. Eileen Budd

Eileen Budd is an artist & storyteller raised in Perthshire amid a rich oral storytelling culture. She has been working with museums for nearly 20 years, using storytelling as a way of interpreting and sharing knowledge of history and Scottish folk tradition. Aoife Ní hEochaidh

Joanna Van Der Hoeven

Joanna van der Hoeven is a Druid, Witch and a best-selling author. She has been working in Pagan traditions for over 20 years. She is the Director of Druid College UK, helping to re-weave the connection to the land and teaching a modern interpretation of the ancient Celtic religion. She has published many renowned books on Druidry including The Awen Alone: Walking the Path of the Solitary Druid and Zen Druidry: Living a Natural Life, With Full Awareness.

Julie Brett

Julie Brett is the author of the book Australian Druidry as well as the founder of Druids Down Under. She is passionate about Druidry and the magic of the Australian landscape.

Daithí Ó Nuanáin

Daithí Ó Nuanáin is a professional singer from Dublin with degrees in Irish (Nua-Ghaeilge) and music, specialising in Ritual Chant & Song. He sings primarily with international ensembles ANÚNA and M’ANAM, and also consults in Irish/Gallic text translations for recording projects. He is a trained Celebrant, and merges this with his musical talents under his brand name VICELT. Read more about him here.
